This piece is a part of a collection of studies I made while researching floral senescence or dried and decayed flowers. An essential activity of an artists’ life is the ability to imagine, observe, explore and create a composition. This is a mixed media painting using Gouache, Acryla gouache and watercolors. Allowing myself to be free and giving myself permission to play helped the creative process immensely.

8”x 6” mixed media painting on professional watercolor paper, mounted on archival handmade deckle edge paper

Floated on a 12”x16” inch archival antique color mat board.

Matting is not necessary. In order to show the beauty of the uneven edge handmade paper creating a timeless and classic look. Just add a frame with glass to protect the painting. Varnished to preserve the colors of the painting.

This painting comes unframed. You can choose to frame it in your personal style and in a frame that will make the painting unique for the interiors of your home.
