I grew up in India seeing gray pigeons all over the country. We refer to them as pigeons but, do you know Dove or pigeon they are the same thing - its a matter of linguistics not taxonomy as far as these birds go. It depends on where you live and what you are used to referring to them as.

Emerald dove or green dove or green winged pigeon as they are known are found in tropical and sub tropical parts of the Indian sub continent and southeast Asia. It’s color was so different from anything I had seen.
